What About Union Democracy?

NSUPE's Constitution Guarantees:

• No collective agreement can be signed unless the members vote to accept it!
• No change or amendment can be made to a collective agreement unless the members vote to accept the change or amendment!
• You will have your own Local with your own Executive chosen by you.
• You will have your own representatives on the NSUPE Executive Council along with the other NSUPE Locals.
• All officers of the Union work at their regular jobs and receive no pay from the Union.
• All staff are hired based on qualifications and their wages are determined, by the NSUPE Executive Council but union staff have no vote.
