NSUPE condemns Premier McNeil and Bill 148

The Nova Scotia Union of Public & Private Employees (NSUPE) condemns Premier Stephen McNeil’s anti-union behaviour. NSUPE will not tolerate such a blatant disregard for workers’ rights and the right to bargain.

The Nova Scotia Union of Public & Private Employees (NSUPE) will join unions and supporters from across Nova Scotia to protest Bill 148 at the Nova Scotia Legislature on Thursday, September 21 from 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm.

NSUPE members are strongly encouraged to attend the rally or a portion of the rally to show support for the three NSUPE Locals that are affected by Bill 148.

·         Local 2 – Custodians and Maintenance workers at the Halifax Regional School Board,

·         Local 15 – Life Skills Workers at Homes for Independent Living, and
